Pretty & Polished Summer Fun Collection

**All products were provided  for an honest review**

Pretty & Polished Summer Fun Collection includes 6 holographic polishes. I have 4 of them here to show you.

Summer Love is a pinkish-red holographic shade.  Shown is 2 coats of polish and topcoat. The formula is perfect and went on smooth and even.

The holo in this polish is subtle and looks best in direct sunlight.

Sandy Shores is a creamy neutral nude holographic shade.  Shown is 2 coats of polish with top coat. The formula for this was a bit thick, but had no streaking.

The holo in this polish is very subtle. Even in the direct sunlight it is hard to see. This would be the perfect base for nail art or stamping.

I used these complimentary colors together to create this mani.

Sandy Shores base with a thick stripe of Summer Love down the middle. Gold square studs finish it off!

Lakefront is a gorgeous mix of blue and green holo with blue and green sparkles added. This is 2 coats of polish with top coat. The formula was perfect, even and smooth.

You can definitely see the sparkle in this polish. What a beauty!

Poolside is a bright blue holo. Shown is 2 coats of polish with top coat.

The formula, again, was smooth and even. This polish almost looks like a shimmer in the bottle. I brought it into the sun and POW! There was the holo sparkles.

I used these two beautiful blues to create this fun mani.

Chevron stickers helped to make the pattern and square silver studs to pull it all together.

I'm still wearing this now, 5 days later. I LOVE IT!!

Trust Fund Beauty Polish Review

**All products were provided  for an honest review**

Trust Fund Beauty is new to the polish world, so I was excited to get the chance to review some of their amazing polishes. If you are someone who likes polishes initially from its' name, this is the brand for you. Wait till you see some of these hysterical names.

First up is Champagne Problems, the perfect name for this champagne colored metallic polish.

The formula on this polish was very thin. This helped with application because it went on evenly and smooth, but it did pool into the cuticles if I wasn't careful. This is two coats of polish with top coat.

I really like this shade. It has just enough gold in it that it's not too overwhelming for a full manicure. The little metallic sparkles give this polish the perfect shimmer.

Nip Slip is a shimmery cool pink with magenta undertones. This is a unique shimmer pink polish I am excited to add to my collection.

The formula on this polish was perfect. It didn't streak like most shimmer polishes. This is two coats of polish with top coat.

I'm not usually into shimmer polishes, mostly because the application is horrific. This polish exceeded my expectations in every way. The color is bright and again, NO STREAKING!

Rich Bitch is a beautiful red with pink undertones and a touch of shimmer.

The formula was great! It went on perfectly smooth. This is two coats of polish with top coat. This is a semi-sheer polish, so I think I could have used a third coat.

I absolutely love the hint of shimmer in this polish. I'm not a red polish kinda girl, but there is something different about this red. It is bright and shiny. Some reds are dull to me. This polish was the opposite!

Next up are the fabulous holos of the group. This is Don't Be Shady, a light holographic grey.

This polish went on super smooth with no dragging. Shown is 3 coats of polish with top coat.

Look how SHINY and SPARKLY. Tons of holo pigment to go around!

There's nothing like a holo MACRO! OOOOO.....AAAAHHHHH!

Like Royalty is a holographic royal purple.

Again this polish went on super smooth. Shown is 3 coats of polish with top coat.

The holo in the polish did not disappoint. It has lots of sparkle and the color is unique to any I have seen.

MACRO!

What are your thoughts on these polishes? Do you just love the names?

Aly's Dream Polish Review

I've had the opportunity to try holos from many different brands, indie and mainstream. The thing that is most deceiving about holos in general is that they tend to only show there beautiful twinkle in direct sunlight and fall completely flat otherwise.

I was sent some holo lovelies to review from Aly's Dream Polish. All the pics in this post were taken in direct sunlight to show their ultimate beauty. I can assure you though, that all of these polishes looked beautiful in indoor lighting as well.

First up is Sweet Dreams, a light pinkish/purple with lots of holographic pigments.

Shown here is two coats of polish with one coat of top coat. This polish is on the sheer side and could use three coats for more opacity. I kinda like the sheerness of it though, so light and fluffy.

The formula was good, but you have to work a bit quickly or the polish will drag a bit. I find that to be typical with linear holos.

Close ups do a holo GOOD!!

Next up is Tiffanytea. This polish has a little more green in it than blue to me, which I LOVE!!

Shown is two coats of polish with one coat of top coat.

The formula for this one was similar to Sweat Dreams. Although this polish has a lot more pigment and was opaque in two coats.

I absolutely adore this color and can't wait to try it with some stamping over it!!!

Lastly is Ocean, a gorgeous teal blue holo.

This also shows two coats of polish with one coat of top coat. Formula was perfection!

I think this was my favorite polish of the three. It's so vibrant and beautiful, a perfect Spring color!

Overall I LOVED all these polishes!! Aly's Dream Polish has every holo color you can imagine! If you're looking for something specific, I can guarantee you'll find it there.

Born Pretty Holo Effects #11

Born Pretty Holo  Effect #11. You gotta love Born Pretty Store, they name their polishes with numbers. How boring and uninventive. They can do better than that!!

This is the dark purple holo polish from the line they released last year. Holo polishes are tricky. These pics, for example, are all taken WITH FLASH. Without flash or sunlight these polishes don't have half the holo wow factor these photos represent!

The formula on this polish was great. Two smooth coats and top was all I needed to achieve this holo goodness.

I guess the difference between a good holo and a not so good holo is whether or not you need direct sunlight to see the sparkles. If you've ever worn ANY of the Color Club Holo Hues you know what I'm talking about. This polish doesn't even come close to comparing to those polishes.

I realized I have a possible dupe for this polish. Which kinda pisses me off because I don't usually like to have dupes in my collections. I rather buy something new than spend money on something that I have already. But that's just me. I do make an exception with cobalt blues for some reason. I just can't have enough of them!!! Anyway, look for a comparison post coming soon!!

Overall, I wouldn't recommend these polishes. They are WAY overpriced, which is unusual for Born Pretty Store. They usually have amazing prices. These polishes come in 6ml bottles for $12.88. I think when I bought it they were on sale for a bit cheaper. But still…the bottle is tini-tiny!!! I don't think it's worth it for the fact that the holo really doesn't stand out unless it's in bright light.

I know these polishes got great reviews from bloggers when they came out, which is why I bought this one. I'd love to know if you have any of the other colors and what you think of them. Please comment and give me your honest opinions.

MOD Lacquer Review

                                                                              **All products were provided for an honest review**

If you haven't heard if MOD Lacquer you MUST give them a lookie. I knew I had to try them when I saw their amazing glitter bomb Kosmic Karma! Then I saw their other polishes and the unique combinations they make and had have to them!! Here's another post I did with a few of my faves.

You know I have to start the MOD party with some MACROS. I'm so excited that I get to show you a range of polishes: glitters, flakie, and holo glitters…OH MY!!  Can you believe this line up???

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Sasquatch is a warm golden brown that shimmers in the sunlight, but it has a nice depth that fades into darkness in lower light to reveal the gold flakes."
This is the perfect fall polish. It's a brown polish with a golden touch. Flakie polishes are my favorite because you get the sparkle of a glitter without the hassle of glitter removal.
This is two coats of Sasquatch. The formula is wonderful and smooth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Revenant is a bright blue with subtle duo-chrome that shifts from blue to purple with a micro fine scattered holo glitter to give a little sparkle."

Everyone knows I love a good blue! This is a GREAT blue! Of course the pics don't do the holo any justice. This polish really shines in the sunlight.

This is two coats of Revenant. The formula is great and goes on smooth.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Goblin is a beautiful green duo-chrome that shifts from olive green to bright green to a warm burgundy/brown with a micro fine scattered holo glitter to give a little sparkle."
The sister holo to Revenant, Goblin is an amazing fall holo. I'm loving green polishes more and more and this polish has added to my love! The duo-chrome shift in this polish is so fun!!
This is two wonderful coats of Goblin. The formula was smooth and covered well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
YAY GLITTERS!!!!!

"Thunderbird is a sheer black jelly finish with dark holo glitters that flash bright colors that pop out and grab you before slinking back into darkness."

I hate that I can't get a good pic of how amazingly sparkly this polish is! I would love to see this polish over a lighter color to see how it may make the holo glitters POP.

This is one coat of Thunderbird over one coat of OPI Onyx. I love the formula of this glitter topper. No fishing involved and it went on evenly and smooth!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Jersey Devil is a sheer black jelly with bright, warm flashes of color popping from various sizes of holo glitter"
At first glance I didn't think I was going to like this polish because I'm not much of an orange lover. Once it was on, the orange color wasn't so bold and the sparkle was amazing. I didn't want to take this off!!
This is one coat Jersey Devil over one coat OPI Onyx. This polish will definitely cover in two coats for more sparkle! Again, the formula was perfect!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm in love with MOD Lacquer all over again. They have amazing formulas and brilliant combinations of colors and glitter.

MOD Lacquer does an amazing job of describing their polishes, so I used their descriptions instead of coming up with my own crappy ones. The quotes you see on this post are taken from their Etsy store.

Right now MOD Lacquer has two limited edition colors available, Breaking Mod and Vault 24/18 (real gold topper). There are two new sections in the shop that have retired sale items.
