Cult Nails Disillusion

It's been way too long since I've posted. Things have been crazy. I've been sick and now my little one is sick. It doesn't help that we got a foot of snow and it's 10 degrees outside!! Is the weather crazy cold where you are too? I'm kinda freaking out because I'm waiting for an awesome polish delivery and I know the super cold weather makes the polish thicken. Yikes!!

Anyway, onto the goodies! Today I have for you Cult Nails Disillusion. This is a spectacular polish. It's a black jelly base with bright pink shards.

I had the hardest time photographing this polish. You can see from the pics that I tried a couple different types of lighting. Nothing picked up the sparkles under the jelly base. I just couldn't get it right. SO FRUSTRATING!

You can definitely see that shards in this lighting, so that's good. These pics are all two coats of polish. It gets a bit tricky to apply because some of the shards can stick out or clump together. You can see in some spots it looks lumpy, even with 2 coats of top coat. There were some catchy pieces too. You know the ones that snag in your hair or your clothes. I hate that!!

I used Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter-A-Peel as my base for this. What a life saver. I can't imagine taking a cotton pad and remover to this polish.

I only have a few Cult polish, but I love them!! They have a great formula and apply like a dream. This polish is a different story because of the shards. It's still a beauty and I love it!!

On another note, my hubby won't make me another nail polish rack. Buzz kill! You may have seen it on FB. So I was thinking of having a blog sale. Would there be any interest? Also, I have a bunch of full size indies that I was given to swatch. What is the best way to purge these? Your comments are greatly appreciated!! :)

What's your Fetish?

Can nail polish be considered a fetish?? LOL

Some of you may recognize this AMAZING polish by Cult Nails, Fetish. It's a jet black with a rubber finish.

Not only is this a stunning looking polish, but it has the most amazing application of any polish I've ever used. To quote Barbara Streisand, "It's like buttah!" It's so smooth and creamy!!

The other thing that was amazing about this polish was the clean up. Usually when you get a little BLACK polish on your cuticles it makes a mess, stains and it's sometimes there until you remove the manicure. Not this polish. I used a nail art brush to touch up around my nails with acetone and the polish came off CLEAN!! I was amazed!!

The accent color I used is Avon Brushed Metal Dusty Copper. This line from Avon is a textured polish. I HATE TEXTURED POLISHES.  When I saw these there was something about them that intrigued me. I love metallics, so I had to try them.

You can see that the polish isn't as textured as the sand based polishes, like the Zoya Pixies. I bought 4 of these polishes because I really loved them. You'll be seeing them soon!!

This is one of my favorite manis I've done in a long time. Fetish is INSANE!! I was hesitant when getting it because I'm not one to get multiples of colors I already have. (Haha who am I kidding!) I can just put a matte top coat on my OPI Onyx and achieve the same effect, right?? WRONG!!! This polish is so much more than a matte. I just love it!!!

I had to include so many pics because I just couldn't narrow them down.

I snagged Fetish during Cults Nails flash sale on Friday the 13th (Buy 1 Get 1 Free). The other polish I got is Flushed LE. Can't wait to show it to you guys!!!
