Brighter Than the Sun!

I have found ANOTHER favorite summer color!!! Um....anything BRIGHT or NEON!! With my skin getting more and more tan, these colors look freaking amazing!!

The base for this mani is China Glaze Hightlight of My Summer. It's a super bright minty green. I had this on my toes too and it caught a lot of eyes. I'm officially obsessed!!

I stamped using Sinful Shine Most Sinful.  Whenever I feel like I'm getting better with stamping, I take a close up pic and my confidence crumbles.  :(

These looked really good from a far, and then they looked so smudged in these pics. Oh well, such is life. #nailbloggerproblems  I still really loved the way this mani came out and I will definitely be using this color again during the summer months.

What are your favorite colors for summer? Brights, pastels, neons?? I LOVE THEM ALL!!!

Sparkly Blue

This is another mani I have hoarded for occasions like these when my nails are not photographable just yet. They are definitely getting better, but they aren't growing as fast as I thought they would be with the gel on them. Also, the SensatioNail gel formula doesn't seem to be agreeing with my nails. I am getting bad chipping at the tips within days.

I have taken to the cyber world to ask for help and I found a magnificent blogger who is an expert at home gel manis. Michelle from Manic Talons wrote this great post about gel nails lifting and chipping. I asked her about what I should do and she suggested I try Gelish instead. So, I ran right out to my local Sally's and bought some. That will be my next step- soaking these bad boys off and starting over with the Gelish only. I'll keep you guys posted on how that goes.

For this spectacular mani I started with a black base, OPI Black Onyx (I call the the best black because it's opaque in one coat).  On the accent finger I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Mermaid's Tail. This polish is gorgeous! It has a mix of green and blue hexes in a black jelly base. I haven't tried this on its own, but I'm sure it's wonderful.

The rest of my nails are done with Sinful Colors After Party. This polish has all blue, mixed shaped glitters in a clear base. If you don't have any of these sparkly glitters from SC you must try them. They have a great formula and look stunning!! For $1.99 they are a must have!!!

My nails look so long in these pics. I hope they get back to that soon and stay that way. I swear I would have acrylics on right now if they weren't so damn expensive!!!

You Can Never Have Enough Glitter!

I never knew how much I LOVED blue nails. And boy are these BLUE!

I started with 2 coats of Nails Inc. Baker Street and layered another 2 coats of Sinful Colors After Party. I was hoping to layer 2-3 coats of just After Party, but it didn't have the opacity I was looking for.

This glitter polish is beautiful!! It has tons of micro-glitter, small circles and some large circles too! I used one coat of Seche Vite top coat. On a couple of nails the large circles were poking out a bit so I added a second coat and that did the trick.

Insane NAIL MAIL and haul

I think I just died and went to nail polish heaven!!!!!!

First, I stopped at Walgreens because I noticed a lot of gals on the blogs talking about these Sinful Colors being on sale for $1. Unfortunately, they weren't, but they are only $1.99 full price. So I figured I would pick up a few anyway. (Lush Life, Fantasy, After Party, Unicorn) Who says you need to spend a lot of money to have fabulous nails?

Then the mail man came and OH MY GOD!!!!

Zoya had a promotion going on during Valentine's Day that I just couldn't pass up. The amazing blogger at  work/play/polish did a really pretty VDay nail art with these Zoya polishes:
Ali, Sweet, Carmen. If you spent $25 you got all three of these FREE!!! I mean come on...that is the greatest promo EVER!!

These were the polishes I chose to buy:
London PixieDust, Rina, Aurora

I'm really excited about my choices. I've seen them swatched and they look amazing!

In the same mail delivery came my very first Julep Maven box. HOLY CROW!!! I don't think my heart can take all of this excitement!!

How did I get so much awesomeness is one box you ask? And I only paid $9.99!! I'll fill you in on my little secret, just don't tell ANYONE! :)
I completed my online profile, but I didn't sign up. Less than a week later I got an email from Julep asking me to sign up for 50% off ($9.99) + 2 FREE polishes of my choosing! WHAT!! Another thing I couldn't pass up.

What came in my box:
Alma, Chelsea, Kathleen, Hailee (Matte Suede), Cuticle Oil

So there it is! Now I just have to figure out what I want to do first with all of this. What would you do first?
