I have really been slacking on my nail art posts. Summer has been so fun and busy that I haven't been paying attention to my nails and manicures, oops! I have all these ideas but no time to actually try them! I've wanted to try this particular design for a while and I'm so happy that I finally did!
A simple dotting pen and varying shades of green/teal make a mani like this so quick and easy. I only used 3 colors because my nails are fairly short but if you have longer nails you can add a 4th or 5th color for a more dramatic ombre effect.
On my thumb nail I made the mistake of not using Seche Vite for my top coat and the dots smudged a bit. But, I was too lazy to redo it and it's barely noticeable. You can see the difference with all the other nails, no smudging there! That's probably my favorite benefit of Seche Vite, it won't smudge your nail art even when you have a white base.
This reminds me of a beach towel design ☼
The colors I used for this mani are:
Sally Hansen White On
Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet
Sinful Shine Rendezvous
Julep Lena
This may be my favorite mani of the summer so far. What kind of beachy manis have you been sporting this summer?
Adorable! I love the varying dots :) Great blog!
